During each market, the jdouglas team has morning meetings where Doug seeks to set the tone for the day. These meetings vary market to market in their theme and content. This time together also serves as a forum for the group to share successes that they have had in their individual territories, as well as a time to learn from one another in a fully transparent, non-competitive way that ideally strengthens the whole group collectively.

This market, our main exercise was a 5 day process of determining the Top 5 most important characteristics of any brand we would want to represent. The reps were divided into teams of 4 and each team given 5 of our brands to assess for what their 5 greatest strengths are and 3 things we would like to see improve. All of this information was shared and then the best overall characteristics identified and ultimately ranked. This was a five day process with individual input that culminated in the Top 5 overall list on our last day which will now be shared with our manufacturers so that they see what is most important to us at jdouglas.

Additionally, each team was asked to take their group of manufacturers and contribute to our High Point recap blog by preparing a posting for each sharing what they were most energized by this market in each showroom. Here with the High Points of Fall Market are our reps thoughts.
